Comprehensive Protection for your mobile device

Applicable to designated customers ONLY

Elite Mobile Care provides you with a comprehensive accidental protection (“Protection”) for your covered mobile device*, from cracked screen or device damage due to accident, to accidental loss or theft of your covered mobile device, anytime anywhere in the world.

2 Cracked screen only – Repair service#
  • Covers your device* in the event of cracked screen as a result of accidental damage
  • Provides door to door repair service as fast as 24 hours after claim approval^
3 Extended Cover – Cover on Accidental Loss or Theft
Accidental loss or theft of the covered device* that occurs during the period of insurance anywhere in the world.
Max. 1 claim per policy year of 12 months HK$8,000 or 50% of retail price of the covered device* (whichever is the lesser amount)

#The insured has to pay the deductible for each repair or switch service. The amount of deductible varies depending on the model of the covered device, the capacity of the covered device etc. For details of the deductible, please refer to the “Device Protection Insurance Policy – Elite Plan” policy provisions and the “Device Protection Insurance Certificate”, or call HKT Care Customer Service Hotline at 8209 0098. A specimen copy of the policy provisions will be furnished to you on request.

*The Protection will be terminated when the customer terminates the mobile service subscription plan or when the Commitment Period expires. The Protection is only applicable for selected device models. Original purchase invoice is required for submission of claim.

^Longer delivery times may apply in the case of severe weather conditions or other events outside control of FWD General Insurance Company Limited or its delivery service provider.   • "COVID-19/Pandemic Exclusion" is applicable to policy commenced on/after 1 January 2021, please refer to the policy provision for details.
  • The insurance plan is underwritten by FWD General Insurance Company (“FWD GI”). HKT Care website at www.hktcare.com is operated by HKT Financial Services (IA) Limited (“HKTIA”). HKTIA (Licensed Insurance Agency License No.: FA2474), being registered with the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong (“IA”) as a licensed insurance agency, acts as an appointed licensed insurance agent for FWD GI. 
  • The information is for reference only.   • HKTIA 's role is limited to distributing insurance products of FWD GI only and HKTIA shall not be responsible for any matters in relation to the provision of the products. 
  • Insurance products are products and obligations of FWD GI and not of HKTIA. 
  • Any dispute over the contractual terms of insurance products should be resolved directly between you and FWD GI. 
  • All insurance applications are subject to FWD GI’s underwriting and acceptance. 
  • FWD GI is solely responsible for all approvals, coverage, compensations and account maintenance in connection with its insurance products. 
  • HKTIA will not render you any legal, accounting or tax advice. You are advised to check with your own professional advisor for advice relevant to your circumstances.
